    We were very pleased with this experience. Even tough the cablecars were closed due to high winds 80 km/h, we viewed the sunset from the Observatory, and that was just as spectacular. Got to see Teide in front of the sunset. Since the cablecars were closed, we were given the option to ride them the next day, early in the morning 9 am, which we highly recommend.. Less people and lines.

    Our driver and guide picked us up on time, were highly knowledgable, and friendly. They told facts about the park on our drive to and from the Observatory.

    The dinner, held at the cablecars facilities, was good, but service was a little slow. We were extremely hungry.

    The best part was the stargazing. We were lucky and the skies were clear, and it gave an extremely good view of the Milky Way. Our astronomer gave us a chance to look in their telescopes and showed us the constellations.
    After that, we were dropped of at our hotel Parador del Teide, and we couldn't help looking at the starts for a few more hours..

    Unfortunately, due to wind, the cable car was not operating on the day of our excursion but the rest of the trip up the mountain was fabulous. Watching the sunset was the highlight of the tour and the food afterwards was excellent and plentiful. Looking at the stars and moon was also incredible. Well recommended.

    Great tour! Loved the actual experience of the volcano scenery. The bus ride was quite long and our bus broke down...leaving us stranded for 40 minutes until another bus showed. Also, due to ice we weren't able to take the cable car. I think this is one of the best things to do in Tenerife. Wish everything had gone to plan for our trip though!

    Amazing tour. Well organised and lovely guides on every section of the tour. Beautiful views of the sunset from the top of Mount Teide. Lovely buffet dinner. And rounded off with a fascinating view of constellations and planets - naked eye and using telescopes. We saw Mars, the moon, and Saturn with it's rings and moons through the telescope. Many thanks to the local astronomer/astrophysicist who took our English speaking group - a really informative and entertaining presentation.

    This is a great tour if you want to see a different side to the island. It is quite a long drive in a coach to reach Mt Teide and I would recommend wearing as many layers as possible as it's very cold at the top (especially as the sun starts to set). The views are spectacular and it's nice to be able to enjoy a refreshment in the warmth after the cable car visit to the top. After some food and drink you get to spend time star gazing with a guide and a few telescopes set up focused on different points of interest. It was a great way to spend an evening!

    A very enjoyable afternoon/evening. To be honest the sunsets we have at home are more impressive - but the surroundings were spectacular, our guide was amusing and the sparkling wine flowed. The Canarien dinner was very good - again, plenty of wine too. It is very cold up that high after the sun goes down and we had not taken enough warm clothes - also as it was a half-moon the stars were not that bright - but it was a joy to look through the telescopes at the surface of the moon, the Andromeda galaxy etc. Very interesting to see the Teide natural park, the pines, the lava flows etc. - altogether a great experience.
